Asserted herself in the tapestry field due to an original technique, Mihaela Mirela presents her graphics work in an exhibition hosted by the Romanian Cultural Institute. The thorough drawing and the intense and vivid colors join together, united under the tandem principle. This principle can be found "in each of the stories of the couples of beings which look at each other, talk to each other in a way or another, whether it’s about a vegetal, animal or human world. Besides the fact that inside each story there is a tandem, at the same time they communicate between them creating only one story, the story of a reunification, of a completion which leads to the perfection of the one number, of a "one" which means two eyes overlapped, two hands, two thoughts overlapped" (Iulia Argint).
The tandem is also reflected in the exhibition mode: the exhibition can be seen in the exhibition space of ICR, during 29 November – 12 December 2006, but also online. (to see the works click here).
The opening of the exhibition will take place Wednesday, 29 November 2006, 13 hours, at the Romanian Cultural Institute (Aleea Alexandru 38, Bucuresti).
